Why we built it

From paper CVs to a clean, online file.

Maritime hiring is still mostly paper CVs forwarded over WhatsApp, certificates scanned twice, and recruiters chasing missing documentation.

RiteCrew already runs the operational side - vessel schedules, crew rotations, payroll - for the fleets we manage. The Application Portal extends that same discipline to the way people apply. One submission, one click for the recruiter to bring you into the CRM.

Verified securely

Every document - passports, STCW certificates, medical, CV - is uploaded straight to encrypted cloud storage in the EU. Only you can see your files until you submit.

Watch your application move from draft, to submitted, to accepted, in real time. No more wondering whether your CV reached the right desk.

Direct to recruiters

Approved applicants land in the RiteCrew CRM, ready for vessel assignment. No double-entry, no lost paperwork, no "we'll add you to the system next week."

Recruiters only see complete files.

Submission gate enforces completeness

Applicants can't hit "Submit" with a missing CV, unverified phone, or under five years of sea-service history. Recruiters never see half-baked files.

Verified contact channels

Both email and phone are confirmed by OTP before submission. You can reach a candidate when you need them at sea.

Audit trail end-to-end

Every status change, every approval, every rejection is recorded with the actor and timestamp.

One-click import

Approved applicants are pushed straight into the RiteCrew CRM - no re-typing names, no re-uploading scans.

What we collect

Only what crewing recruiters actually need.

  • Identity (legal name, passport / national photo, date and place of birth)
  • Contact (email + phone, both verified)
  • Professional history (rank applied for, total months at sea, sea-service records)
  • Documents (CV, STCW, medical, passports, references, flag-state endorsements)

We don't sell, share, or train AI models on applicant data. Your file stays in the EU, on encrypted infrastructure, accessible only to approved RiteCrew recruiters until you ask us to delete it.

Trust, security, residency

Encrypted, EU-hosted, audit-logged.

  • Encryption at rest for every uploaded document.
  • Per-applicant access scoping - applicants only see their own files; recruiters only see files for applications they're authorised to review.
  • EU residency - AWS Frankfurt / Ireland infrastructure, daily encrypted backups, GDPR-compliant retention.
  • Audit log records every status change and access event, attributable to a specific recruiter account.
  • 30-day deletion on request - email the address on your account and we remove your file, documents, and account.

Questions, answered.

Do I need a password?+
No. The portal is fully passwordless - email or phone, 6-digit code, you're in.
What happens to my documents?+
They're uploaded straight to encrypted cloud storage in the EU. Only you can see them until you submit your application. Once submitted, only approved RiteCrew recruiters can review them.
Can I save and continue later?+
Yes. Your application is saved on every change. Sign in again from any device with the same email or phone, and pick up where you left off.
I have no sea-service history yet. Can I still apply?+
Yes. Tick the "no sea-service history" option on the sea-services step. We'll route your file to the right recruiter for new entrants.
Why do you need both email and phone?+
Both are verified before submission. We use email for status updates and phone for time-critical recruiter contact when you're at sea.
Will you delete my data if I ask?+
Yes. Email apply@ritecrew.com from the address on your account and we'll delete your application, files, and account within 30 days, in line with GDPR.
